Gnu Park Pickle / JANUARY 05 2009 We just unwrapped, 6 new Gnu Park pickles and this is the raddest snowboard I've ever seen. First of all it has all the sick mervin extras, magne-traction and banana tech. Both technologies are revolutionizing the snowboard industry..every single company in 2008 made a reverse/anitcamber/banana tech board in their lineup. The craziest thing about the park pickle is the heelside sidecut is 12% deeper than the toeside. Thinking that it takes more effort to make a heelside turn than a toeside turn. now you can lay it over like peter bauer, but on a park whip. Granted this isn't the first round of asymetrical side cuts, nitro and santa cruz & burton had asym boards, but none were twin tip asym. Anyway I'm stoked to see it back again. Whether you are learning how to approach a double barrel rail or dialing a frontside 180 off a medium-sized tabletop jump, The Ladies Room will teach you all you need to know. The two-day price will be $235 and includes all day coaching, breakfast, lunch, prize packs and giveaways from sponsors: Burton Snowboards, Eastern Boarder, Nikita, Snowboarder Mag, Oakley, Dakine, Red Bull, Air Blaster, A.S.S Industries and Zinka . Vans Mini Cup Setup / JANUARY 01 2009 Yo guys, after a serious brain storming session out side of the shaping shack the other day with the park rangers… here is the proposed set up for the mini cup event here at loon. Vans Mini Cup / JANUARY 10 2009 The Vans Mini Cup, a new series of three rail jams going down this winter. The top rider from each Mini Cup stop will qualify for the Invitational Rail Jam at the 2009 Vans Cup at Mammoth, widely regarded as the West Coast's most important professional snowboarding competition. New Hampshire's Mini Cup is at Loon Mountain presented by Eastern Boarder on January 10.The format features an open jam session, narrowing down to a 10-man final judged by Vans Snow team riders. The winner from each stop will score an all-expense-paid trip to the Vans Cup at Mammoth and slot in the event's invite-only Friday night rail jam. SNOW
